About this place
UEFA Category 4 football stadium in Batumi by Bahıdır Kul Architects. Its facade draws from the Georgian folk dance Khorumi — overlapping panels echoing the synchronized movement of dancers.
Designed by Turkish firm Bahıdır Kul Architects and inaugurated in October 2020, the Adjarabet Arena is Batumi’s first UEFA Category 4 stadium. It sits in the Heroes’ Alley district with capacity for around 20,000 spectators and serves as the home of FC Dinamo Batumi.
The building’s most striking feature is its facade — a layered shell of overlapping panels inspired by the movements of Khorumi, a traditional Georgian warrior folk dance. The panels shift and overlap like a crowd in motion, giving the exterior a sense of rhythm and cultural identity. At night, an integrated LED system transforms the surface into a programmable light display that can show the Georgian flag or the colours of FC Dinamo Batumi.
Internally the stands are steeply raked to bring every seat close to the pitch, ensuring excellent sightlines throughout. The stadium includes premium hospitality areas, media facilities, and a hybrid grass pitch meeting UEFA standards. Since 2021 it has occasionally hosted Georgian national team matches.
