Who we are

Archistrail is a curated map and editorial atlas of designed spaces. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used. If you have questions, contact us at hello@archistrail.com.

What data we collect

When you create an account and use Archistrail, we collect:

• Email address — used for account authentication and communication about your submissions.
• User activity — places you save, mark as visited, or add to your want-to-visit list.
• Submissions — place suggestions you submit, including the text and any images you provide.
• Comments — text you post on place pages.

We do not collect payment information, location data from your device, or any information beyond what is needed to operate the service.

Why we collect it

• To provide your personal collection of saved and visited places.
• To process place suggestions and contact you about them.
• To display your public comments on place pages.
• To maintain account security and prevent abuse.

Third-party services

Archistrail uses the following external services:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your account data is stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• Mapbox — map rendering. Mapbox receives your approximate location if you use the "find me" feature on the map.
• Cloudflare R2 — image storage. Images you submit are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure.

We do not use advertising networks, sell your data, or share it with third parties beyond what is listed above.

Cookies

Archistrail uses cookies only for authentication — to keep you signed in between sessions. These are strictly necessary cookies and do not track your behaviour across other websites. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies at this time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights:

• You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• You can request a copy of your data at any time.
• You can ask us to correct inaccurate information.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are removed from our systems within 30 days. Submitted place suggestions and comments may be retained in anonymised form for editorial records.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service grows. Significant changes will be communicated by email to registered users. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
