About this place
Korean eyewear brand Blue Elephant's Seongsu flagship, which feels more like a gallery than a shop: a 12-metre media-art sphere rising through three floors, a café and a free rooftop garden.
Blue Elephant, the Korean eyewear brand founded in 2019, opened its Seoul flagship in Seongsu-dong in late 2025. Spread over four storeys and roughly 3,300 square metres, it treats retail as an exhibition: the glasses are displayed like objects in a gallery, and much of the space is given over to things that have nothing to do with buying anything.
The centrepiece is the Sphere, an immersive media-art installation about 12 metres across that rises through the building from the first to the third floor and can be seen up close from the surrounding levels.
Around it are display floors holding hundreds of frames, a café that has become a popular place to sit in its own right, and a rooftop garden that is free to visit.
Come for the Sphere and the café even if you are not shopping for eyewear. Seongsu's other concept stores, cafés and galleries are all within a short walk.
